Vinod Khosla is coming to Disrupt to discuss how AI could change the future

Few people in the tech industry have earned such a legendary reputation as Vinod Khosla, founder and partner at Khosla Ventures. For more than 40 years, he has been at the heart of Silicon Valley, where he has built or backed some of the largest, most influential tech companies. His career began with his days as a founder of Sun Microsystems and spans decades of venture investing. Khosla’s firm today is known for its stakes in companies like Affirm, Block, DoorDash, GitLab, Okta, and OpenDoor, just a few of the hundreds of successful portfolio companies.

These days, he’s at the center of OpenAI and was one of the first VCs to back the company, writing a $50 million check in 2019, years before ChatGPIT captured the world’s attention.

Always focused on the future, Khosla will be our guest for a must-see keynote session at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 this October, where he will discuss the key technology trends changing our lives.

Khosla believes that artificial intelligence will change the structure of human society, helping 7 billion people live like 700 million people. He sees a future where AI will provide unlimited doctors, teachers and laborers. And it is investing in the technologies that transform our food and the economies that produce it, that produce new medicines and treatments, and investing in new building and manufacturing materials.

He warns that this wave of change will come with its own set of issues: job displacement, inequality, fear-mongering and misregulation.

But ultimately he says he’s optimistic about what’s possible, and for those who want to be part of this powerful new future, he’d offer advice on what they should do now.

Don’t miss your chance to hear Vinod Khosla live at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024. Reserve your tickets by May 31st to save up to $800. Be sure to check out more speakers here, and stay tuned for more big-name announcements.
