OnePlus Watch 2R global variant allegedly spotted on FCC, BIS websites


The OnePlus Watch 2R is in the works. It could soon be launched in different global markets. The company is yet to confirm the name. An upcoming smartwatch model, which has now surfaced on multiple certification sites, is believed to be the OnePlus Watch 2R. Several key features of the alleged OnePlus smartwatch including some design elements have appeared in the listing. It is expected to be a slightly altered version of the existing OnePlus Watch 2, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in February.

The report speculated that the model listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website was spotted by MySmartPrice. Notably, tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) recently hinted at the possible upcoming launch of the OnePlus Watch 2R in a leaked post. Hence, the report speculated that the listed model could be this rumoured smartwatch.

The report states that the OPWWE234 model number likely represents the global variant of the alleged OnePlus Watch 2R. Another upcoming smartwatch with the OPWW234 model number recently surfaced on TENAA. The report suggests that this model spotted earlier could be the Chinese variant of the watch.

The launch timeline of the OnePlus Watch 2R is not yet known. Several certifications indicate that it could be launched soon. The BIS listing also suggests that it will be launched in India soon. OnePlus is also launching a new variant of the Watch in China today. It is likely that the new variant may be available globally as the Watch 2R.

According to the report, the FCC listing shows that the OnePlus Watch 2R is likely to have a 500mAh battery, with the model number BLW013. The smartwatch also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS and NFC connectivity.

Design renders of the alleged OnePlus Watch 2R spotted on the FCC listing suggest that the watch may feature heart rate sensors at the bottom. A previously spotted listing suggests that the alleged Chinese variant of the watch may support LTE connectivity as well as e-SIM with 10W charging.
