There’s a lot to like about Apple’s first new iPad release in 2024. No matter which screen size you choose, you’ll get a stunning OLED display (Apple calls it an Ultra Retina XDR display). That means you can expect better color performance, ticking the usual P3 wide color and True Tone checkboxes. ProMotion means you’ll get to see a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

On the inside, Apple has put in a brand new M4 chip, which uses 10 CPU cores and a 10-core GPU for the best performance. However, you will need to opt for the 1TB or 2TB configuration to get those 10-CPU cores, so keep that in mind. The other capacity model has a nine-core CPU. Other features worth noting include Wi-Fi 6E support and the option to go for a 5G-enabled model for data (though this costs extra).
